The Police Officer Rocco Laurie Intermediate School
The P.O. Rocco Laurie Intermediate School refers to New York City Intermediate School 72 in Staten Island, New York. It is a Title I school. It is located at 33 Ferndale Avenue in Heartland Village, Staten Island. Heartland Village is part of New Springville, Staten Island. The school was named after P.O. Rocco Laurie.

After the start of the 21st century, I.S. 72 was designated as a New York Board of Elections polling site for all local, state, and national elections.〔(NYC Board of Elections - Poll Site Locator )〕 The move was from the previous location of P.S. 69 which is across the street (Merrymount Street). It has also just recently been renamed Police Officer Rocco Laurie School on March 20, 2009. After three years of discussion, the current principal, Peter Maccelarri, held an assembly welcoming the board of education chancellors, the police officer commissioners, sister and brother-in-law of Rocco Laurie, students, and other invited audience.
